Here are the top stories today in Bedford:

  1. PetGo is a new partnership launched by The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire with Meals On Wheels of Hillsborough County. The new program makes pet food, veterinary services, and grooming available for homebound individuals and their pets. If you or someone you know is not a client of Meals on Wheels but needs pet food assistance, the ARLNH offers a Pet Food Pantry "to assist pet owners who are struggling to feed their pets." Find out more about these programs to help pets and pet owners here: (Bedford Bulldogs Athletic Booster Club via Facebook)
  2. It's youth night at the second Bulldogs home football game of the season on Friday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. Watch Bedford High School play Keene at the Bulldogs home stadium. Youth athletes are invited onto the field wearing their game jerseys to start the varsity game! It is also the NH Tackles Hunger game. Bring nonperishable food items to donate to benefit the Bedford Community Food Pantry. Let's go, Bedford! (Bedford Youth Football and Cheer via Facebook)
  3. The Book Explorers Club, a new book club for ages 9-12 at the Bedford Public Library, allows kids to choose books they want to read. October's book genre is fantasy. Readers are "invited to read a fantasy book of their choosing and join us for discussion on Oct. 2."
