• Town Of Bedford: Supervisors Of The Checklist Meet Jan. 20 (patch.com) — Bedford residents have a chance on January 20 to update their voter registration details when the Supervisors of the Checklist meet at the Bedford Town Offices from 6 to 7:30 p.m. You can handle name, address, and checklist changes, but new registrants must bring proof of citizenship, identity, and domicile or email the supervisors with questions.
   

• High school roundup: Zink, Laws lead Bedford girls basketball past Pinkerton (unionleader.com) — Bedford High School’s girls basketball team stayed unbeaten with a dominant 57-26 road win over Pinkerton, led by senior sharpshooter Annie Zink and teammate Juliet Laws. The roundup also highlights another big Bedford victory as the boys improved to 5-0 with an 89-58 win over Pinkerton, plus scores from several other New Hampshire matchups.
   

• NH House Approves State Takeover of Troubled School Districts (indepthnh.org) — A Bedford state representative is backing a controversial bill that would let New Hampshire’s Education Department take over financially troubled school districts, inspired by Claremont’s $5 million deficit. The measure, which narrowly passed the House, would allow state-appointed administrators to override local school boards, demand audits, and even fire staff, raising sharp concerns about local control from some lawmakers.
