Police: 9 Arrested After Large Melee Leaves 2 With Knife Wounds
Manchester police responded to a house on Auburn Street after a report that two people arrived at the hospital with knife wounds.
MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police are investigating an incident that left two people with knife wounds Saturday.
Police were notified at about 6 p.m. that two people had been brought to the Elliot Hospital by private vehicle and both had what was initially described as stab wounds. Through investigation with some of the people involved, police determined the incident took place in the area of a house on Auburn Street between Lincoln and Maple Streets.
Multiple officers responded to the area and determined the incident occurred in the rear of 464 Auburn St., according to Manchester Police Assistant Chief Peter Marr.

Police officers detained multiple men and women in the area of the house, some were placed in handcuffs as investigators determined who was allegedly involved. At about 8 p.m. several people were arrested and transported from the scene in the police transport wagon.
Marr said, "Preliminary investigation revealed that two people sustained laceration-type wounds from an edged weapon during a large melee that took place near 464 Auburn St. There were multiple arrests made and all subjects involved have been accounted for at this time."

Manchester Police Spokesperson Heather Hamel confirmed nine people were arrested related to the incident. The identity of those arrested and the charges they face have not been released. The victims suffered what was described as non-life-threatening injuries.
