Here are the top stories today in Bedford:

  1. You're invited to attend the "Taste of Bedford" DECA club fundraiser on Jan. 24, from 6-8 p.m.at Bedford High School. The BHS DECA club is one of the largest DECA chapters in New Hampshire! Sample food from more than a dozen Bedford area restaurants, including The Inside Scoop (my personal favorite), Simply Delicious, the BHS Dogpound, and many more. The event also has raffles, live music and family ticket deals, organizers wrote in a recent social media post. Tickets are $10. (Bedford Patch)
  2. After a fun weekend of activities in the freshly fallen snow, kids are invited to Virtual Pajama Storytime. "Get comfy in your PJs, bring your stuffies" on Monday at 7 p.m., and the Bedford Public Library will read bedtime stories to everyone via Zoom. An email to join the Zoom event will be sent to registered participants one hour before the event begins. "Registration is open to Bedford Public Library cardholders only." (Bedford Patch)
  3. Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater on 19 Harvey Road in Bedford will hold in-person and video "Summer Intensive Scholarship Auditions" on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. The dance theater auditions will be for "students wishing to obtain scholarship opportunities." Find out more here: (Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater)
  4. Did you know that the Copper Door "sources from 12 local New England farms" and "gets its beef from selected ranchers in the Midwest?" The beef is also "hand cut by a team of in-house butchers," wrote Eric's Stories of New England in a recent Twitter post. "Fresh seafood is constantly brought in from Boston and desserts are made in-house," he added. Don't forget "the martini and cupcake combo of the month." The Copper Door cupcake and martini combo this month is the "Hot Chocolate Cupcake" and the "Coco Loco Tini" with whipped cream. (Visiting New England via Twitter)
