- It's "bearly" spring, but three black bears emerged from their dens and strolled along South River Road in Bedford over the weekend. T-BONES and Cactus Jack's posted photos of the bears on Facebook asking "Why did the bears cross South River Road? Because T-BONES Bedford wouldn't let them in. Sorry bears!'" New Hampshire Fish and Game said black bears start wandering from their winter dens looking for food in late March and early April. (WMUR Manchester)
- A shoutout to Typo, a Border Collie, and Typo's handler, Amber McCune of Bedford. The Border Collie placed first in the 24C" height division of the American Kennel Club National Agility Championship, held March 16-19 at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square in Tulsa, OK. More than 1,300 dogs ran, jumped and put their best paws forward at the AKC Agility Championship. (American Kennel Club)
