Two Injured in Serious Accident on Route 101

Two people were transported to an area hospital Wednesday night after at least one of two drivers involved in a 'T-Bone' collision had to be extricated from his or her vehicle.

The serious accident occurred at roughly 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of Route 101 and Hitching Post Lane and emergency radio reports indicated the crash involved an entrapment.

According to Bedford Police, both drivers involved in the collision suffered unknown injuries and were transported to local area hospitals for evaluation.

Traffic was diverted around the scene for approximately one hour.

At this time, Bedford PD report that it does not appear that alcohol or speed were factors in the collision.
