Two Rollovers Involving Police And AMR Ambulance Moments Apart In Manchester
An AMR ambulance was struck on Tarrytown Road, causing a rollover. A cruiser responding to a call struck a car, causing another rollover.
MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester first responders were involved in two rollover crashes within minutes on Wednesday.
The AMR ambulance was driving on Tarrytown Road in the vicinity of Elliot Hospital when a vehicle appeared to have failed to stop at the stop sign, colliding with the ambulance and causing it to roll over. The AMR personnel called dispatch, reporting that they were involved and could not exit the ambulance. Manchester Fire and additional ambulances from mutual aid towns responded to the scene.
Firefighters removed the front window of the ambulance and extricated the two AMR people in the ambulance who suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the Elliot Hospital. The woman driving the car was medically evaluated but refused medical transport.

A Manchester police cruiser, responding to the initial accident, was involved in a crash at the intersection of Valley and Jewett streets. The cruiser was traveling east on Valley Street when a white car appeared to come through the stop sign on Jewett Street. The car was struck and rolled over multiple times, trapping two occupants.
Two people in the white car were trapped, and fire crews used multiple tools to extricate the people. The officer in the cruiser was transported to the hospital by another responding cruiser.

Hooksett and Goffstown Fire transported the occupants of the car to a local hospital. The victims from the car appeared to be stable and had non-life-threatening injuries.
Manchester police are investigating both crashes, and no additional information is available at this time.
