Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am Danielle Evansic, and I am asking for your vote to represent you in the State House. As a mother and educator, with experience in engineering and business, I am familiar with many of the concerns in our community. I have three children in Bedford’s public schools; I serve on the Bedford Sewer and Water Advisory Committee, as an alternate on the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission; and I actively volunteer with Bedford service organizations. In my professional and volunteer experiences, I have collaborated with many individuals having different mindsets and varying motivations and always worked to come to a consensus. I would be honored to bring my level-headed, methodical approach toward problem-solving to Concord, as your State Representative.

My past experience in designing stormwater management and infrastructure plans enables me to approach the NH housing crisis with a critical eye. A measured approach is required to support housing needs for young families, skilled workers, and our “down-sizing” neighbors, without sacrificing local control and community input. Additional care must be taken to prevent creating additional burdens on tax-payers or incentives unfairly benefiting developers.

As much as I support local control in zoning and development, I also support family rights. The family is the foundation upon which we learn to function as a society, with parents being the primary educators and caretakers for their children. As children grow and mature, it is up to the parents to determine the best environment in which each of their children will thrive and grow. I support parental rights in education and in health care and will fight to limit government overreach into our rights as residents, parents, and citizens.

As I knock on doors and meet many of you neighbors, I hear a lot of concerns. If we haven’t had the opportunity to talk, please visit my website, learn about my priorities and feel free to reach out to me. I would love to hear from you.
