1 New Hampshire Hospital Makes Best In U.S.: U.S. News 2024-2025 List

NEW HAMPSHIRE — Only one hospital in New Hampshire is among the best in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Hospitals ranking released Tuesday.

For its 35th annual report, U.S. News evaluated more than 5,000 hospitals based on their performance across 30 medical and surgical services. Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center was named among the top 466 hospitals in the country, according to U.S. News.

For the first time this year, U.S. News also identified 98 hospitals across the country for their success in caring for patients from historically underserved communities.

Conroy, MD, said. “It is especially exciting to see two additional Dartmouth Health members recognized as well. In southern New Hampshire, several hospitals were commended as high-performing in certain procedures.

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester received five high-performing procedure-conditions rankings.

Elliot Hospital in Manchester received three high-performing procedure-conditions rankings, while Concord Hospital and Portsmouth Regional Hospital received two.

Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover each received one high-performing procedure-conditions ranking.
