2 Concord Women Killed In Interstate 93 Crash

New Hampshire State Police said Nelly Uwituze and Butonga Zawadi were killed in a crash on Interstate 93 in Canterbury.

CONCORD, NH -- Two women killed in a horrific Interstate 93 crash last week have been identified. Nelly Uwituze, 24, was driving a sedan with Butonga Zawadi, 25, in the passenger seat Friday in Canterbury when she drifted off the road and slammed into a tree. Both women were killed "upon impact," New Hampshire State Police Lt. Michael Commerford said in a statement.

The women were Concord residents. The cause of the crash remained under investigation. The highway was wet at the time of the crash from steady rain all day.
