2 Women Killed In NH Interstate 93 Crash, Police Say

CANTERBURY, NH -- Two women were killed in a crash in Canterbury on Interstate 93 Friday. New Hampshire State Police said their sedan drifted off the highway at about 3:18 p.m. and slammed into a tree. The women died "upon impact," State Police Lt. Michael Commerford said in a statement.

The identities of the women were withheld pending notification of family, Commerford said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation. The highway was wet at the time of the crash from steady rain all day. Heavier rain will drench Southern New Hampshire Saturday.
