Another Heat Advisory Issued For New Hampshire; Showers And Thunderstorms Also Expected

National Weather Service forecasters issued an advisory warning of hot temps and high humidity this week; T-storms also on the horizon.

CONCORD, NH — Forecasters are warning of very high temperatures and humidity as well as rain and thunderstorms this week.

On Monday morning, the National Weather Service issued a “heat advisory,” warning of “hot temperatures and high humidity” through Tuesday night. The high temps “may cause heat illnesses,” forecasters warned.

“Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors,” forecasters said.

The alert runs through 8 p.m. on Tuesday and is in effect for Merrimack, all of Hillsborough, and the interior of Rockingham counties.

A cold front is expected to move into the region with a few “strong to severe” thunderstorms in the afternoon, with “strong winds” in the afternoon and early evening.

Full Forecast

Expect fog early on Tuesday morning, followed by sunny and hot conditions, with highs in the mid-90s for Concord and the Capital Region, as well as the Seacoast. In Nashua and southern and central New Hampshire, expect highs in the upper-90s. Overnight, it will be clear with temperatures in the upper 60s.

Rain is expected on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. It will be sunny and hot in between the storms with highs in the lower 90s. During the evening, more showers with highs in the mid-60s.

Partly sunny skies are expected Thursday after 2 p.m. with temps in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s.

The weather is looking great for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
