Attempted Arson Investigated At Royal Gardens Apartment Complex In Concord

Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to the Heights apartments for an alarm activation. Police are investigating a possible arson.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating an attempted arson incident at the Royal Gardens apartment complex on Friday night.

Around 5:45 p.m., fire and rescue teams were sent to the complex for an alarm activation. After arriving at the scene and inspecting the area, the battalion commander requested police, around 6:15 p.m., stating the incident might be an arson investigation inside the building.

Smoke was found inside one of the apartments in Building 14. Firefighters began ventilating the apartment before police arrived to investigate. A building manager was also requested to the scene. Police asked if firefighters canvassed the area to see if anyone was around. They reported not seeing anyone in the vicinity of one of the apartments.

Around 6:45 p.m., fire dispatch sent some of the firefighters to a medical call at Concord Gardens and officers cleared around 7 p.m. The fire marshal was also notified, according to scanner chatter.
