To the citizens of Concord, New Hampshire:

The purpose of this communication is to extend my sincere appreciation to all the Concord residents who supported me on November 4th for my candidacy as At-Large Councilor for the Concord City Council.

This was my first attempt at the political arena, driven by what I felt was the obligation to represent Concord residents to address:

  1. The flagrant, unnecessary spending by the City Council;
  2. The critically concerning and ever-increasing property tax burden realized by Concord property owners, resulting in so many selling their property due to the unsustainable tax debt; and
  3. The concerning issue of the prevalent homeless people in the city, signified by constant crime, open drug use, confrontation to citizens, and increased financial burden for Concord property owners — a “black eye” for the city.

During my campaign period, I spoke with many residents who were all very vocal in expressing their dissatisfaction and outrage at the clearly needless spending, and ever-increasing property taxes, due to city council agendas and decisions. This frustration and infuriation directed at the city council was reiterated by SO many written comments I reviewed online during the campaign period.

Nonetheless, the November 4th election resulted in primarily that of status quo for future continuation of outrageous spending, property tax increases, and continued appalling presence of the homeless with related crime increase and substantial financial burden levied on city property owners.

On November 6th, a well-written missive authored by Concord City Council candidate Robert Washburn was posted on the Concord Patch site. Reading and rereading this factual message of concerns for the future of the city of Concord, I would seriously urge Concord property owners to take the time to realize exactly the route this city is taking — only voting citizens can change this by and through future elections.

In closing, I once again wish to provide my heartfelt appreciation to the Concord residents supporting me at the November 4th election. Please be assured, I will continue to run as a city council candidate in the future to support all of our mutual concerns for the city of Concord!

Sincerely, Jeanne
