Manchester Man Dies In Hooksett Two Vehicle Crash Wednesday

HOOKSETT, NH — Hooksett Fire Rescue and police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on West River Road, also known as Route 3A, on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters called for additional resources and communicated that they had multiple people requiring extrication from the two heavily damaged cars. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, and others were transported to a local hospital once the extrication was complete.

The accident scene was about a quarter of a mile south of Hacket Hill Road.

A 2018 Kia Forte operated by Yediel Obeth Tavarez Villanueva, 25, of Manchester, and a 2017 Toyota Corolla operated by Derek Villiard, 31, of Manchester, collided.

Villiard was transported to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Villiard also had a juvenile passenger who was unharmed.

Witnesses reported that the Forte was traveling south on West River Road and was seen swerving, prior to crossing the center line, striking the Corolla that was headed north.

The Hooksett Crash Reconstruction Unit remained on scene investigating. The road was shut down for several hours and did not reopen until Wednesday afternoon.
