Concord Child Dies; Police Investigating

Concord police said a 2-year-old child was found unconscious on Rex Drive and later died at the hospital.

CONCORD, NH — A 2-year-old Concord child died Friday morning after he was found unconscious at a Rex Drive residence, according to police. Authorities were still investigating the cause of the boy's death as of Friday afternoon.

Concord Police Lt. Sean Ford said officers responded to the residence — located in the Concord Terrace mobile home park neighborhood — at about 9:35 a.m. for a report that the child was unresponsive. Firefighters transported him to Concord Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"Concord Police Investigators are conducting interviews, examining the scene, and consulting
with medical professionals in order to determine what may have caused the child’s death," Ford said in a statement. "The investigation is ongoing at this time and no determinations as (to) the cause have been made."
