Concord Firefighters Honored For Saving Man's Life

Concord firefighters rescued a man from a Bog Road blaze last month.

CONCORD, NH — Concord firefighters on Monday were honored for saving a man's life during a Bog Road blaze last month. The fire broke out in the early morning hours Dec. 16 at the Pines Of West Concord apartment complex. Firefighters found a man suffering from burns in a third-floor apartment and pulled him to safety.

The victim was medflighted to a local hospital with serious injuries and survived the ordeal.

Mayor Jim Bouley and the City Council commended the fire department's Battalion 1 members for their rescue efforts during the blaze.

"Flawless teamwork and performance saved a life," the fire department wrote in a Facebook post.
