Concord Massage Parlor Raided As Part Of Local, State, Federal Human Trafficking Investigation

Update: Law enforcement was at the Oriental Bodywork Spa, located on North State Street in Concord, for several hours on Wednesday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police, along with federal and other law enforcement officials, made several arrests at the Oriental Bodywork Spa on North State Street in Concord on Wednesday afternoon.

Limited information is available about the case at the time of posting. However, at least two women have been arrested. Interpreters were provided for the women, according to scanner chatter. A few men were also questioned at the scene.

According to Lt. Thomas Yerkes of the Concord Police Department, police, while coordinating with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, “opened an investigation into suspected trafficking of persons and prostitution related offenses involving” the spa.

The raid comes less than 48 hours after Gov. Kelly Ayotte signed several bills, including new laws to protect crime victims, strengthen penalties for human trafficking, a crackdown on AI-generated child sexual abuse materials, and mandatory $500 fines for prostitution offenses. About three weeks ago, state and federal officials launched targeted enforcement of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation around the state, closing “known illicit massage businesses” in Derry, Dover, Hudson, Londonderry, Manchester, Merrimack, Salem, and Somersworth, as well as other communities.

Concord police are expected to release more information about the raid Thursday.
