Concord Parking Bans Issued Ahead Of Monster Snowstorm

Latest Concord weather: a snowstorm is expected to drop 17 inches of snow on the city this weekend.

CONCORD, NH — Concord officials on Friday announced parking bans ahead of this weekend's incoming snowstorm. The storm is expected to drop 17 inches of snow on the city Saturday into Sunday. The first parking ban is set for Sunday from midnight 7 a.m. The second parking ban is set for Monday from midnight to 7 a.m.

During the ban, parking is prohibited on any city street, including the downtown area. Violators will be ticketed and their vehicles will be towed. Free parking will be available at all city garages during the ban.

"The community’s cooperation to move cars off the street is greatly appreciated to help the plows more efficiently clear snow," city officials said in a statement. "Cars not removed from the street can impede snow removal and block plows on narrow streets."
