Concord Police National Night Out

Concord is participating in the 35th annual National Night Out with a festival at Rollins Park.

CONCORD, NH — Concord is participating in the 35th annual National Night Out with a festival at Rollins Park Tuesday. The event, hosted by Concord police, is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free and there will be food, music and children's activities.

"National Night Out is America’s night out against crime," Concord police said in a statement. "The annual event is held throughout the United States to promote cooperation between police departments and communities. This event is designed to heighten crime prevention and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police partnerships within the community; and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back."

Food/drinks are $1 and there will be a free shuttle running from Rundlett Middle School.

Police departments across New Hampshire, including Nashua, Bedford, Salem and Portsmouth, are participating in National Night Out.
