Update: No Foul Play Connected To Death Investigation At Royal Gardens Apartment Complex, Police Say
Investigators were sent to an apartment to investigate an untimely death. After an autopsy, police say they do not suspect any foul play.

CONCORD, NH — After nearly 72 hours of investigating, Concord police suspect no foul play connected to the untimely death of a woman at the Royal Gardens apartment complex.
Around 11 a.m. on Oct. 11, police were sent to the complex for a welfare check. A concerned resident reported they had not seen a neighbor in a few days. While there, investigators discovered a woman who was dead. Deputy Chief Barrett Moulton of the Concord Police Department said due to some initial concerns, detectives were requested to follow up on the call. An autopsy was performed and toxicology reports were requested. Moulton said Tuesday morning, after looking into the issues and reviewing the evidence, the concerns raised by investigators and police have been resolved. At this point, he said, the department does not suspect any foul play.
Later on Tuesday, police released the name of the woman, Donna L. Johnson, 72, of Concord. Police said there was no cause for concern for public safety related to the incident and the cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.

More often than not, during a homicide or murder incident, the state takes control of the press relations connected to the investigation, and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office releases a statement or confirmation that there is a homicide investigation underway. The media then publishes the statements. If there is no notice published by the media about the attorney general’s office confirming a homicide investigation, there is likely either no homicide or investigators have not determined there is a homicide.
