Concord Women Face Charges After Oriental Bodywork Spa Bust On North State Street: Follow-Up

CONCORD, NH — Two women were arrested on Wednesday after a human trafficking bust on North State Street, across the street from the New Hampshire State Prison for Men.

Concord police, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, and several federal authorities raided the Oriental Bodywork Spa on Wednesday morning, executing a search warrant after an 11-month investigation into “suspected trafficking of persons and prostitution related offenses” at the parlor.

Two women were questioned and arrested: Xueying Weng, 49, of Concord, was charged with sexual assault and simple assault, both misdemeanors, while Suhua Tang, 52, also of Concord, was charged with prostitution.

At least two men were also questioned at the spa on Wednesday while police were searching the facility.

Along with the AG’s Office, the New Hampshire Department of Labor, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the Internal Revenue Service were involved in the search with Concord police.

About three weeks ago, state and federal officials launched targeted enforcement of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation around the state, closing “known illicit massage businesses” in Derry, Dover, Hudson, Londonderry, Manchester, Merrimack, Salem, and Somersworth, as well as other communities. Two days ago, Gov. Kelly Ayotte signed several bills, including new laws to protect crime victims, strengthen penalties for human trafficking, a crackdown on AI-generated child sexual abuse materials, and mandatory $500 fines for prostitution offenses.

Weng and Tang were booked, processed, and held in the county jail on preventative detention. Weng was arraigned in Concord District Court on Thursday and held. She is expected in court again on Aug. 27. Tang will be arraigned in Concord District Court on Aug. 1.
