CONCORD, NH — The deadline to enroll in health coverage for 2025 through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace is Jan. 15.
Open Enrollment provides the opportunity to sign up for health insurance for the year without needing a special reason. Any person in New Hampshire needing health insurance coverage starting February 1st must enroll by Jan. 15. After Jan. 15, people may only apply for Marketplace coverage during a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) if experiencing a qualifying life event, such as marriage, birth of a child, loss of job-based coverage.

NH Navigators can provide information about tax subsidies that many people qualify for to make plan premiums affordable and can guide people through the process, whether they are applying for the first time, making a change or simply need assistance understanding the options.

“Health insurance coverage is so important, but applying for it can be a daunting task for many,” NH Navigator Senior Director Bethany Murabito said. “As of Jan. 9, nearly 69,000 people in New Hampshire have already enrolled in Marketplace plans for the 2025 plan year, and we want to see that number increase to ensure people are fully covered and prepared for their health care needs."
To accommodate last-minute enrollments, NH Navigator assistance hours are being extended until midnight on Jan. 15.
