Drivers Hit 107 MPH On I-93 To Go Skiing: NH State Police
New Hampshire State Police said Michael Leach and Xintong Zhang, of Boston, Massachusetts, were arrested for reckless driving.

HOLDERNESS, NH — Two Massachusetts men were arrested Thursday after police said they hit more than 107 mph on Interstate 93 northbound. Michael Leach, 23, and Xintong Zhang, 20 — both of Boston — were charged with reckless driving. They told police they were going skiing in Northern New Hampshire.
Both drivers were stopped in the Lakes Region town of Holderness, according to New Hampshire State Police Sgt. Victor Muzzey. The speed limit is 70 mph on that section of the highway.
Leach was stopped at about 10:30 a.m. after Trooper Christopher Ball clocked him at 107 mph, Muzzey said. After processing Leach on the reckless driving charge, Ball returned to monitoring traffic on the highway and then clocked Zhang at 111 mph, according to Muzzey.

Both drivers were released on bond pending arraignments in Plymouth District Court Feb. 15.
"The New Hampshire State Police would like to remind drivers to please slow down and use
caution when driving," Muzzey said in a statement. "With the holiday season upon us, more drivers will be on our roads traveling to see family. Please get there safely."
