Dump Truck Rolls On Londonderry Turnpike In Hooksett: Video
The trucker sustained a head laceration and shoulder injury after a crash near Zapora Drive on Thursday afternoon.
HOOKSETT, NH — Hooksett police are investigating how a dump truck managed to crash and roll on a busy state highway on Thursday afternoon.
Around 2:15 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the area of Zapora Drive for a truck crash with entrapment. Capital Region Fire Dispatch said a few minutes later, at least one person was trapped inside.
When police arrived, they confirmed the truck was on its side along the road. Gravel from the bed of the truck was scattered along the roadway. The driver reported having a shoulder injury and a small head laceration, an officer said.

“He is alert,” the officer said. “He is kinda stuck in there.”
Later, police learned the trucker was trying to avoid crashing into another vehicle approaching him, according to scanner chatter.

News 603 posted a video of the crash on Facebook.
Police requested that dispatch send a heavy wrecker to tow the truck away.
Firefighters also reported a fuel spill at the scene, about 20 or 30 gallons.
