DWI Patrol Labor Day Weekend In NH

New Hampshire State Police said a patrol targeting intoxicated drivers will be held Labor Day weekend in the Lake Winnipesaukee area.

GILFORD, NH — With the unofficial end of summer is coming up, New Hampshire State Police are warning drivers — especially Lake Winnipesaukee vacationers — of a patrol targeting intoxicated drivers. The patrol, announced Wednesday, will be held sometime Labor Day weekend in the Gilford area around Lake Winnipesaukee. Per state police policy, the exact date and time were withheld.

"The New Hampshire State Police consider the detection and apprehension of impaired drivers and enforcement of the Driving While Intoxicated statutes to be a top priority," New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner said in a statement.

Earlier this summer, state police arrested eight people during a DWI patrol in the Concord area during New Hampshire Race Weekend. Last week, four were arrested during a DWI patrol on the Seacoast.
