Elderly Driver, Passenger Injured During Rollover Crash On Whitehall Road in Hooksett
Police say the BMW convertible was driving east Sunday afternoon when it left the road, struck a tree, and flipped, landing upside down.
HOOKSETT, NH — The Hooksett Police Department’s crash reconstruction unit is investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash that sent two people, including an elderly driver, on Sunday.
Around 1:15 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were called to Whitehall Road between Whitehall Terrace and the Cawley Middle School for a report of a crash. When they arrived, they found a BMW 8 Series convertible upside down in the road. A driver, a man, 68, and a passenger, a woman, who is 64, were sent to the hospital with serious injuries.
Lt. Valerie Lamy said the department’s crash unit was requested and the road was closed for several hours. The car, she said, was traveling east when “it left the road, struck a tree, and flipped, landing upside down in the roadway.” No other vehicles were involved, Lamy said.
