The First Widespread Frost Or Freeze Of The Season Expected In New Hampshire: Weekend Weather Update
Forecasters warn of elevated fire concerns this weekend due to breezy winds and arid conditions, according to a hazardous weather alert.
CONCORD, NH — Chilly temperatures are on the horizon in New Hampshire, according to weather forecasters.
On Thursday morning, the National Weather Service issued a “hazardous weather outlook,” warning of “the first widespread frost or freeze of the season” this weekend.
“Temperatures overnight Friday and Saturday may fall into the 30s for much of the area away from the coast,” the alert said. “There may even be some upper 20s in the northern valleys. Breezy winds and very dry conditions will lead to elevated fire weather concerns Friday and Saturday.”

On Friday, expect sunny skies with highs in the mid-70s with a northwest wind of around 10 mph. Wind gusts are expected to be as high as 20 mph. Overnight lows will be in the upper 30s.

It will be a bit chillier on Saturday with highs near 70 and a light wind. Overnight lows will be in the mid-30s.
Expect similar weather on Sunday with highs in the lower 70s and overnight lows in the mid-40s.
Warmer temperatures are expected early next week with highs in the upper 70s on Monday and mid-80s on Tuesday.
