Franklin Man Accused Of Wrong-Way Drunken Driving On I-93 In Northfield; Was Arrested In Concord In May

NORTHFIELD, NH — A man from Franklin was arrested early Saturday morning, accused of wrong-way driving while under the influence.

Around 2:30 a.m., New Hampshire State Police dispatch began receiving calls about a car traveling south on the northbound side of Interstate 93 in Tilton. The car, later identified as a 2000 Toyota Camry, was reportedly speeding. Troopers spotted the car in the left lane of the Interstate in Northfield just north of the town’s border with Canterbury and stopped it.

The driver, Brendon L. Angus, 25, of Franklin, was arrested after a roadside investigation on felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence. He was processed, booked, and held at the Merrimack County Jail. Angus will be arraigned in Concord District Court on Monday.

Angus, according to a post on Patch last month, was arrested for driving under the influence, resisting arrest or detention, and speeding charges, as well as a following too closely violation, after an incident or investigation on Fisherville Road in Concord.
