CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s help in finding a felon with a lengthy criminal history who is wanted on a probation violation.

Timothy Joe Burnett is 39, white, about 6 feet 1 inch, and weighs around 185 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair. Burnett has no known aliases. Corrections investigators said Burnett has several tattoos, including the letters “TJB” on his right forearm, a cross with the name “Jeanie” on his upper left arm, a cross on his right shoulder, lettering and numbers on his chest, the wild west on his back, a poem on his left arm, a skull on his right hand, and a sleeve on his right forearm. He also has scars on his right knee and shin.

The warrant against him was issued by the state’s parole board. An “armed and dangerous” warning has been placed on his alert due to “gang affiliations” and his violent criminal history, officials said.

“Burnett has an extensive criminal history which includes multiple charges for controlled drugs, armed robbery, felonious use of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and burglary,” the alert stated. “Burnett has ties to the Concord and Manchester, New Hampshire, areas.”

Burnett’s criminal history dates back more than two decades, after he was accused of acts prohibited in Concord in April 2004.

Burnett pleaded guilty to one of the counts in June 2004 and received a 12-month sentence, 11 months suspended with 28 days credit, and a $330 fine with two years probation. After violating probation, his sentence was amended in September 2005, with 122 days of work release probation terminated.

In May 2008, Burnett was accused of robbery and burglary in Concord. In February 2009, he pleaded guilty to burglary and the robbery charge was nolle prossed. Burnett received a six months sentence with 13 days of credit, $13 restitution, and two years probation. In March 2009 a hearing on a violation of a court order was held and agreement filed. Several probation violation hearings were held and his sentence was amended in February 2010.

In June 2009, Burnett was accused of robbing Irving in Bow and was also charged with felon in possession of a dangerous weapon in Bow. He was accused of robbery-criminal liability in after an incident in Concord the same month. In December 2009, he pleaded guilty to the felon in possession charge and was required to pay $1,150 in restitution in the Irving case. In February 2010, he pleaded guilty to the Concord robbery and was ordered to pay $200 in restitution.

Burnett was allowed work release in August 2013 on the burglary charge. In April 2014, the remainder of his sentence was amended to suspended.

But in December 2018, Burnett was arrested again on handguns-armed career criminal, controlled drug-heroin or crack; sale, etc., heroin or crack possession, and felonious use of a firearm charges. In April 2019, the sale charge was dismissed. A trial was set but then, Burnett pleaded guilty to the firearm use and drug possession charge. He received two three-and-a-half-to-seven-year sentences, one suspended for five years, with 81 days time served credit and a suspended $620 fine. Burnett requested motions to suspend in March 2022 and April 2023 but both were denied.

Burnett was accused of acts prohibited and drug possession in April 2024 in Concord. In July 2024, he was also charged with stalking, possession, and resisting arrest or detention in Concord. The first possession charge was nolle prossed in October 2024. In April, he pleaded guilty to the stalking, acts prohibited, and possession charges and received two one-to-two-year sentences, a 12-month sentence, and a $620 fine, all suspended for three years,
