Remember last year when you thought the new Rundlett was a done deal at the Broken Ground site because the school board was not listening to the people of this city?

And we brought you hope in the form of two charter amendments that were approved overwhelmingly at the November election?

Here we are again — still with the board of education not listening to your serious cost concerns by approving a $155 million middle school. We can’t afford that much — your taxes will probably go up by $500 per year or more just for that one school. And don’t forget how the city is going to raise your taxes for a $40 million new police station, $30 million upgraded Memorial Field, and improvements to the water treatment plant.

Why can’t we have a new school for somewhere around $90 to $100 million, like other cities and towns?

Please vote for Jeff Wells for the Concord School Board in Wards 5, 6, and 7 (Zone B). Bring hope and fiscal restraint back to our school district. If not, you may regret it every single time you pay your property tax bill for years to come!
