A Heat Wave Is On The Horizon For Southern New Hampshire, Forecasters Warn
The National Weather Service forecasters predict temps will remain in the 90s through Wednesday, with a break in the heat expected Thursday.
CONCORD, NH — Forecasters are calling for a stretch of hot weather in the Granite State, bringing an official heatwave in mid-August.
Through Wednesday, daytime temperatures will be in the 90s in most of southern New Hampshire, while they will be in the 80s in the northern part of the state and on the Seacoast.
“Well above normal temperatures are likely to continue through Wednesday,” a hazardous weather outlook stated Sunday morning. “High temperatures are expected to reach the lower 90s, with mid 90s possible over portions of the area, especially in southern New Hampshire and far southern Maine.”

On Thursday, temps are expected to drop down into the upper 70s and upper 80s.

On Monday, expect hot and sunny temperatures, with highs in the mid-90s. Overnight lows will drop down in the mid-60s. It will be slightly cooler on the Seacoast.
After a foggy Tuesday morning, highs will again reach the mid-90s in Concord and the capital region as well as the Seacoast, while it will be in the upper 90s in Nashua and central and southern New Hampshire. Overnight lows in the mid-to-upper-60s.
Similar weather is expected on Wednesday, although it will be slightly warmer at night, with temperatures in the upper 60s.
By Thursday, temperatures will drop into the upper 80s, with overnight lows in the lower 60s. Showers are expected in Nashua and southern New Hampshire as well as the Seacoast. Temps will be slightly cooler on the Seacoast.
