Kids, Grandkids Were 'Beats Of Her Heart,' Concord Woman's Family Says

CONCORD, NH — Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

Our mom was such an inspiration to us and so may others. Her three girls and her grandchildren were the beats of her heart every day that she lived. She was not only great to us, but she was 'motherly', 'loving', 'always made me feel like her favorite' by nature. Many of our friends, people that knew her used those words to describe her during her service. She had so much positive impact on us and many of the kids in her life with her kind words, words of encouragement, guidance and discipline. "Just be a good person, do what's right even when no one is looking," she'd say.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

If you knew her, you'd be nominating her, too. She loved with her whole heart. Always seemed to find the good or the lesson in every situation. Worked very hard to provide for us. She took so many kids that didn't have the kind of love she offered under her wing. She was a go-to when we or they struggled with home issues, relationship issues, felt good and wanted to celebrate something.
