Late August Cool Down Arriving In New Hampshire; Thunderstorms Storms, Too

After showers and thunderstorms move through the Granite State, expect cooler temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

CONCORD, NH — It is late August, and you know what that means: The end of summer is around the corner, and with it comes cooler temperatures, too.

The National Weather Service is calling for scattered showers and thunderstorms on Monday, mainly between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. in Concord and the capital region, around 2 p.m. in Nashua and central and southern New Hampshire, and after 2 p.m. on the Seacoast. There may also be some showers during the evening on Monday, with overnight lows in the mid-50s.

The rain will be a welcome relief to the dry conditions this month.
