Manchester Woman Accused Of Wrong-Way DUI After Head-On Crash On Interstate 93 In Concord: Follow-Up

Video: Neither Sandra Ouellette of Manchester nor another driver was injured on Sunday night. She faces reckless conduct and other charges.

CONCORD, NH — A woman from the Queen City is facing charges after being accused of wrong-way driving under the influence which led to a head-on crash on Sunday night.

Around 11:30 p.m., New Hampshire State Police dispatch began receiving calls about a wrong-way driver on the northbound side of Interstate 93 in Concord. While troopers responded to the incident, a head-on crash was reported around Exit 12.

A few minutes later, troopers found a 2023 Jeep Wrangler on the right travel lane by Exit 12S and a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado on the right breakdown lane by Exit 12N.

The driver of the Jeep, Sandra Ouellette, 57, of Manchester, was arrested on driving under the influence, criminal mischief, and reckless conduct charges. She was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned in Concord District Court on Oct. 10.

News 603 posted a video from the scene on Facebook.

“Neither driver suffered injuries,” state police said. “Traffic on I-93 northbound was diverted off Exit 12S for one hour while the crash scene was investigated and cleared of debris.”

Bow police and Concord firefighters assisted troopers.
