Missing Vermont Man's Body Recovered In Connecticut River In Hanover
Robert Blake was last seen Monday raking in his yard and appeared to have fallen down an embankment. Fish and Game located him Tuesday.

HANOVER, NH — New Hampshire Fish and Game Dive Team recovered the body of a Vermont man from the Connecticut river in Hanover on Tuesday.
Roger Blake, 74, of Norwich, Vermont, had been out on Monday raking and tidying up his lawn, according to Fish and Game. Family members last saw him around 3 p.m. At around 5 p.m., the family noticed he had not come inside and became worried. They noticed a rake halfway down a steep embankment heading toward the river.
The family immediately called for assistance as they felt he might have fallen into the river. An immediate response was initiated by the Hanover Fire and Rescue personnel and assisted by Norwich Police, Norwich Fire, Hartford Fire, and Lebanon Fire Departments. They were unable to locate Blake Monday evening.

The NH Fish and Game Conservation Officer Dive Team, members of the Hanover Fire Department, and the NH Marine Patrol responded to the scene the Tuesday morning. Blake’s body was discovered downstream from his home.
