New Hampshire Ranks High On New List Of Safest States In America
Check out how the Granite State stacks up against the rest of the country when it comes to a variety of safety measures.

A new analysis found that New Hampshire is the third-safest state in the United States.
The study comes from the personal finance website WalletHub. To come up with its list of safest states, WalletHub analyzed all 50 states using 52 "key indicators of safety, grouped into five categories." These measures encompass a range of indicators, including assaults per capita, financial losses from climate disasters per resident, and economic factors such as unemployment rates.
New Hampshire ranked second in personal and residential safety as well as financial safety. The state was fourth in emergency preparedness. However, the 43rd ranking in workplace safety weighed the state down below first-place Vermont and second-place Massachusetts.

"Nearly 79% of people in New Hampshire feel that they live in safe neighborhoods, the highest percentage in the country," the study said. "Nearly 72% feel that their children go to safe schools, the seventh-highest percentage."
