MANCHESTER, NH — A manhunt was ongoing Monday for an accused murderer in the Manchester area. Paul Dimick, 26, is accused of shooting and killing a 32-year-old man in Manchester Friday morning. Dimick remained at large Monday morning. He is 5 feet 6 inches, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Manchester police at 603-792-5514.

"Dimick is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached," New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon MacDonald said in a statement.

Dimick is accused of shooting and killing Justin Lee at or near a Hanover Street residence Friday at about 11 a.m. Police and a SWAT team descended on the area and said Dimick may have tried to hide at another Hanover Street residence. A standoff ensued and students at the nearby Central High School were held in the building until about 9 p.m. Police then determined Dimick had fled the area and allowed students to go home.

"To the parents of CHS students and residents of the Manchester community, thank you for your understanding," Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig said in a statement.
