One Man Dead After Canoe Capsizes On Crane Neck Pond In Canterbury
The man's fiancée pulled him from the water and performed CPR Despite life-saving efforts by fire and police; he died at the scene.

CANTEBURY, NH — A male victim has been recovered at Crane Neck Pond in Canterbury after an apparent drowning incident.
New Hampshire State Police Dispatch received a call for a possible drowning on Crane Neck Pond in Canterbury. Canterbury Fire, police Concord Fire, Belmont Fire, and Marine Patrol responded. Upon arrival, an unresponsive male subject from New Hampshire was on shore. The NH Medical Examiner arrived on the scene and the person was pronounced deceased.
Marine Patrol’s initial investigation determined that the subject was fishing from a canoe with his fiancée when the canoe capsized. While trying to turn the canoe back over, the subject went underwater but did not resurface.

The subject’s fiancée located him, pulled him to shore, and began performing CPR. She ran to get help and 9-1-1 was called and dispatched responders.
