Prison For Trio Who Stole 200 NH Identities In iPhone, iPad Rouse

Police said Everton Ellis, Armelle Chester and Jeffrey Martin stole more than $40,000 worth of iPhones and iPads.

CONCORD, NH — A New York trio were recently sentenced to prison after they were convicted of stealing the identities of nearly 200 New Hampshire residents in a scheme to steal tens of thousands of dollars worth of iPhones and iPads. Everton Ellis, 41, of Yonkers, Armelle Chester, 26, of New York City, and Jeffrey Martin, 49, of New York City, were arrested by Nashua police last year. Police said the group used the stolen identities to order more than $40,000 worth of iPhones and iPads that were delivered to random Nashua addresses. The trio then staked out the residences and grabbed the packages when they arrived.

Ellis was sentenced to four years in prison, Chester was sentenced to two years in prison and Martin was sentenced to time served. They pleaded guilty to variety of conspiracy and mail fraud charges.

Authorities said the trio ordered the phones through Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. They were ordered to pay restitution to those companies.
