Readers: New Hampshire North Country Activities Are Ones We’d Like To Try

Concord NH Patch Facebook followers were asked to tell us about touristy things in New Hampshire they've never done. Here are some answers.

The Cog Railway, Mount Washington Auto Road, snow tubing and skiing, trails and hikes, and other tourist attractions are things some Granite Staters who read Patch have never done.

CONCORD, NH — Much of New Hampshire’s economy is based on tourism.

Whether it is the mountains, the lakes, the ocean, trails, and everything in between, a lot of people come here to enjoy what we can access every and any day. But do we, as Granite Staters?

The social media staffers at Patch HQ were curious about this so they asked our Facebook followers this question: What’s a popular tourist activity in New Hampshire that you've never done?

A lot of readers wrote about never riding on the Cog Railway while a few mentioned the Mount Washington Auto Road or leaf-peeping, in general. One woman said she had never skied before. Some mentioned the Polar Caves, the Castle in the Clouds, Storyland, and Santa’s Village. Other activities mentioned included snowmobiling, zip-lining, walking through a corn maze, scenic rail rider, an alpine slide, snowboarding, engaging in a paranormal investigation, and some other things which were snarky we cannot mention (but you can read those below in the embed of the post).
