After arriving at the scene, the Pembroke firefighter commander said they were working with Chichester police to shut down both sides of the road completely.
At 5:15 a.m., the fire commander requested the New Hampshire Department of Transportation be sent to the scene.

The road was closed between Ricker Road and Horse Corner Road.
Around 6:45 a.m., the utility reported that more than 1,500 customers in Epsom were without power, nearly 1,200 in Chichester, over 200 in Concord, about 50 customers in Loudon were out, and about a dozen each in Allenstown and Pembroke, too.
