Saturday’s Powerball Jackpot Anticipated To Be $1 Billion, New Hampshire Lottery Says

If you win — and your odds are 1:292,201,338, it will be the sixth biggest jackpot in history.

CONCORD, NH — The Powerball jackpot for Saturday is expected to be the sixth highest in history after there were no winners on Wednesday, the New Hampshire Lottery said.

The odds of winning are 1:292,201,338 with a one-time cash payout, before taxes, of more than $453 million.

“Here we go,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. “With a Powerball jackpot of $1 billion on the line, you can feel the anticipation in the air.”

There have been 38 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner.

“As this jackpot has continued to grow over the last several weeks, we’ve seen our sales building momentum right along with it,” McIntyre said. “Our players purchased nearly $1.6 million in Powerball tickets last week alone at our retailers and through NH iLottery — that speaks for itself. Here at the New Hampshire Lottery, we all have our fingers crossed for a big New Hampshire winner come Saturday night.”

Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. You have until 9:50 p.m. to purchase a ticket. There are more than 1,200 retailers around the state.
