Several Streets In Downtown Concord Closed After Crash With A Snapped Utility Pole
Video: No one was injured during a two-vehicle crash on Monday morning; Green at School and Pleasant and Warren at North Spring are closed.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Warren and Green streets on Monday morning.
Around 9:45 a.m., police dispatch received a report of a crash at the intersection of Green and Blake streets, with witnesses stating that multiple people were running to the scene to assist. A parking unit arrived first and requested fire and rescue teams, while also informing dispatch one vehicle had crashed into a utility pole.
Fire and rescue teams were told one driver was trapped in a vehicle. Before they arrived, Capital Region Fire Dispatch reported all the drivers were out of their cars. The road was closed at Pleasant Street while an officer ran checks on the vehicles. One driver was in their early 20s, while the other was in her mid-30s. The crash was between a Kia Sportage sedan and a Jeep.

At just past 10 a.m., it was reported both drivers refused transportation by EMTs.
When Unitil arrived, they informed the officers it was their pole and they would need to replace it. Concord General Services was then requested to install detour signs at the intersections.

Two tow trucks were requested to remove a Jeep after it was moved away from the pole.
News 603 posted a video on Facebook.
According to the Unitil power outage map, the cracked pole did not cause a power outage in the area on Monday.
A pedestrian sign was also taken out during the crash.
At post time, Green Street between Plesant and School streets and Warren at North Spring Street are closed to traffic.
