Slippery Roads Expected Monday In New Hampshire Due To Light Snow; Snow And Rain Later In The Week

The National Weather Service issues a hazardous weather outlook for Monday; the wind chill factor makes it feel below zero.

CONCORD, NH — ‘Tis the season for hazardous weather info, fa-la-la la-la, la-la, la-la.

Storms may be mild or worthy of alerts, fa-la-la la-la, la-la, la-la. Light snow expected into Monday, fa-la-la la-la, la-la, la-la. A slippery commute is on the horizon, fa-la-la la-la, la-la, la-la.

In all seriousness, weather forecasters issued a “hazardous weather outlook” on Sunday morning for the evening, overnight, and morning hours Monday, warning of slick roads due to light snow. The Monday commute “may result in locally slippery travel,” the alert said.

Forecasters are also expecting a mix of snow and rain on Wednesday and more snow on Friday and Saturday.

Expect sunny skies later on Monday, with lows in the 20s. However, with 5 to 15 mph winds and gusts up to 25 mph, it will feel like it is below zero or in the single digits. Overnight and morning lows will be around 2 degrees below zero.

On Tuesday, there will be sunny skies in the daytime, with highs in the upper-20s and lower 30s. Overnight lows will be in the teens with a chance of snow during the early evening and overnight hours.

Morning snow is expected on Wednesday, then turning to a snow-and-rain mix, and then rain in Concord and the capital region. Rain is expected in Nashua and southwestern New Hampshire and on the Seacoast. The precipitation is expected to turn back into snow overnight and in the morning hours.

The sun returns on Thursday.

Friday and Saturday, more snow is expected, forecasters said.
