CONCORD, NH — The National Weather Service has bumped up its snow accumulation totals and tweaked its storm timeline overnight, according to the latest storm data about the first significant snowfall in New Hampshire.

A “winter storm watch” is in effect from 7 a.m. on Tuesday to 1 a.m. on Wednesday due to heavy snow with accumulations greater than 6 inches expected.

“Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous,” an alert stated. “Visibilities may drop below a quarter of a mile due to falling and blowing snow. Periods of moderate and heavy snow will combine with low visibility to create dangerous driving conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.”
