​Taylor: Vote For Schultz For Concord City Council

My wife, Kris Schultz is running for reelection to be the City Councilor for Ward 9, and I hope you will consider voting for her.

As I write this I am struck by the negative opinion that people have with politicians. I find people can get quite incredulous when I tell them that I think there are many honest politicians that really are committed to public service. I get it. We are all disappointed to some extent by what we see in our politics these days. But my wife really is an honest, empathic person who is dedicated to serving her constituents.

She looks out for her constituents’ taxes because she knows it can be hard to make ends meet. Those with wealth and power will not find an ally in her, but our local firefighters will. She thinks about renters, a group that is often overlooked, while also being concerned about the needs of homeowners. And when her constituents have had public safety concerns, she has taken those concerns directly to the chief of police. She is not someone that can be pushed around, nor will she curry favor.

If you re-elect Kris Schultz, you will be getting an advocate and partner in city hall.
