Woman From Rhode Island Injured In New Hampshire ATV Crash; ‘Speed Is Believed’ To Be A Factor
Alisha Tucker of Westerly, RI, was injured Saturday afternoon during a crash on the Success Trail. EMTs were notified by 911 satellite text.

SUCCESS, NH — An ATV rider from Rhode Island was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a crash in Success, according to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
Around 1:45 p.m., conservation officers were told about a 911 satellite text concerning a crash on the Success Trail. Fire and rescue teams from Berlin, along with officers, responded to the area of the crash. The rider, Alisha Tucker, 27, of Westerly, RI, was found “many miles into the rough section of the trail,” Nathan Superchi, a conservation officer, said.
“At the time of the crash,” he said, “Tucker was navigating a left-hand turn when she began to lose control of her vehicle, causing her to enter a ditch. She was then ejected from the ATV into the ditch, where she sustained serious, but unspecified injuries.”

Due to a lack of cell phone service, some members of her riding group left to call for help, Superchi said.
Tucker was taken to Androscoggin Valley Hospital for treatment. While the crash is still under investigation, “speed is believed to be the leading factor of the crash,” with Superchi reminding all ATV riders they should obey speed limits and always wear safety gear.
