(newenglandnewspress.com) — Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover earned New Hampshire’s only “straight A” safety record for 2025, topping a short list of five A-rated hospitals statewide. The Leapfrog grades highlight where patients can find the safest care, giving Dover residents a strong local option alongside top-rated facilities in Exeter, Rochester, Derry, and Nashua.
   

2. Chinburg looks to add 27 apartments to Cocheco Mills in Dover (seacoastonline.com) — A major proposal would convert vacant commercial space at Dover’s Cocheco Mills into 27 new market-rate apartments, increasing the building’s total to 144 units. The plan, which would free up 94 parking spaces and keep a mixed-use balance, goes before the city’s Planning Technical Review Committee on Dec. 18 at City Hall.
   

3. 86 Seacoast football players receive all-state, all-conference honors (seacoastonline.com) — Dover High football standouts Tony D’Andrea and Nate Wood earned first-team Division I East honors, leading a strong showing by Green Wave players on all-conference lists. Eight more Dover players received honorable mentions, underscoring the program’s depth in a year dominated by Seacoast teams like Winnacunnet, Exeter, Portsmouth, Spaulding, and others across New Hampshire and Maine.
   

4. Dover Police Department collecting food donations for annual Christmas Basket Program (wmur.com) — Dover residents are being asked to help stock the Police Department’s annual Christmas Basket Program, which delivers food to local families in need. Last year, officers and volunteers distributed 150 baskets and supported Dover Children’s Home and My Friend’s Place, and they’re aiming to match or exceed that impact again.
   

5.
