Last Minute Summer Reading

Local cozy capers for the dog-days

Exeter trilogy
Exeter trilogy (RM Allen)

Fresh stock just delivered to Water Street Bookstore!

Cozy up with a few fun mysteries as summer wanes. These three small books are set in Exeter and feature local people and history. What did actually happen Exeter's streets of yesteryear? You'll also learn about the rich history of the Black community of Exeter, beginning in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence rode into town on horseback. See Exeter through new eyes!

The author, RM Allen, will appear in person at the American Independence Museum's "Storytellers" event on Saturday September 18th, on their campus. (Let's hope the new grass has grown in by then.) She will talk about activism & storytelling, and update you on the latest breakthroughs in the tragic Jude Hall incident. Yes, new things have been uncovered this summer!
